As some of you know i really planned to buy my new Felicity outright from the NY store. But i'm a little peeved at AG right now and i'm considering sending enough of my duplicate stuff back to cover the full cost. In the past i didn't really want to do this and i gave a bunch of meet outfits away. I've bought 4 new GOTs in the past month and a new Kaya so i have plenty of stuff i can return. But is it overkill to return everything together (outfits & books) with a return form requesting Felicity? They're not going to believe that i got all of this duplicate stuff as gifts. Does it matter how i came to have so many duplicates?

I think you'll be fine. On the order form, you can also do a choice as "Changed mind" or "Other" & write the reason for other. I don't think that they'll question you!

I sent back 7 outfits and books after Valentine's Day, marking everything as duplicate gifts, and ordered two new dolls as an exchange. They sent everything as ordered with no comment or question - took about 18 days from the day I took the box to the Post Office till the new one was delivered to my front door!
Good luck!!!

I've never returned anything to AG (or ordered anything from them since my mom bought me stuff in the early '90s). But I assume you'll be fine. As long as you don't put the return reason down as "spite."

It sounds to me, (to read similar posts on this board) that some would like a "rent with option" feature of AG ownership. I was brought up that you did NOT returned an item simply because you changed your mind sometime down the road, or decided that you needed some cash. I understand buyers' remorse, and can see returning it soon after purchase, but to have something in your possession for a period of time, and simply want something new-that is NOT the fault of the manufacturer.

I'm not sure of what to make of your "rent with options" comment. I bought 4 new AGOT dolls this month and didn't really want 4 copies of the Friends Forever book or 4 meet outfits. If AG lets us return duplicate items for credit i can't see how it's fraud. It's not like i kept them for a long time and then tried to return them for cash.

My apologies. I had the impression from your initial post that you were returning the dolls. I can see where you would be accumulating duplicates in your case.
It rankles me a bit to hear of people returning dolls and stuff because the glow has worn off, and they want something else.

I would say if the stuff is still new (a month is okay) than you can, in good conscience, return the stuff.
If the stuff is old (you've had it sitting around for 6 months) than it's taking advantage of the system.
AG will take a return on pretty much anything they sell. Just check "changed mind" or "duplicate gift" option. And hey if you just bought 4 AGoT's then the books are duplicate gifts in my opinion.
But if you bought them over the past two years- well I personally could not in good conscience return them.

I don't see any problem with your returns--the things are recently bought from AG, and still in new condition. And they ARE duplicates, so by their own policy, AG should take them back no questions asked.
